The Novel Kickstart program was designed for the writer who:

  • needs structure, routine, and accountability to get work done

  • has been writing and writing and writing with no direction

  • has lost the plot

What’s Included

This isn’t just a “course.” This is an interactive experience. There will be homework, there will be writing. You are not here to learn the “best” way to start a novel. You are here on a path to discover your way of starting your novel. We are simply providing the structure and support.

  • These will range from pen-to-paper action, Q&A’s, coaching-style hot seats, and more.

    These will be focused on building your strucutre and foundation for your novel and your practice so that you have all the tools you need to continue on afterwards.

    We’ll be thinking about the big themes here.

    Please note: these will not be workshops teaching on these topics, but rather guided prompting for you to inquire on these topics with yourself.

  • Let’s get to work…together!

    Join us each week for some accountability writing time.

  • Join your fellow writers in an online community. Log on at any hour of the day to share a win, ask for support, find inspiration from someone else’s win, etc.

  • All materials and recordings will be available in your cohort in Mighty Networks for 6 months after the close of the program.

  • This is your incentive to TAKE ACTION and put PEN TO PAPER and get feedback on your work.

    Submissions to our upcoming manuscript challenge will be open from November 3rd - December 3rd, 2026, where you can submit the first 2,000 words of your novel.
